| SAP-107 | SAP Portal Developers -Develops and refines the Enterprise Portal solution architecture for a secure, user focused, Web based global intranet portal providing unified access to business process information, search engines, applications and external websites. Analyzes the current Enterprise Portal environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improved use and stability. Defines processes for maintaining a solid infrastructure. Merges business requirements into Enterprise infrastructure. Designs and participates in the governance activities associated with ensuring that the Enterprise Portal is in compliance with the enterprise solution architecture. Consults with application development projects to fit systems to the Enterprise Portal architecture. Oversees the documentation of all Enterprise Portal solution architecture design and analysis work. Oversees the Enterprise Portal architecture implementation and ongoing support. Tests system of all changes prior to production load. Documents, notifies and coordinates adoption of new business procedures resulting from system improvements. Provides twenty-four hour, seven days a week support of production system to ensure continuous availability matching the needs of Valero's operating units. Considers multiple integration points with other SAP modules and project teams, as well as external systems. | SAP-108 | SAP BW BASIS-This is a upgrade from SAP BW 3.5 to SAP BI 7.0 with unicode and java. They will be upgrading our first sandbox in January and require a consultant to assist with that process. They prefer a consultant who has done this type of upgrade already and can provide real experience to the project. These are our skill requirements and deliverables expected. SKILLS REQUIRED [SKILL SETS]: SAP Basis Administration, SAP BW 3.5 and 7.0, SAP BW Unicode conversion experience, BI Java components Consultant will - provide knowledge and guidance in upgrading BW 3.5 to BW 7.0 with java components on NW04S portals and with a Unicode upgrade. - provide specific experience and knowledge to improve speed of the upgrade process - identify gaps in our process and recommend and implement actions to close those gaps - provided an updated detailed upgrade document for the final process - assist with timeline planning with various scenarios - troubleshoot both technical and functional upgrade issues as requested LIST OF DELIVERABLES: - Upgraded BW environment - Final upgrade document - Gap document with recommendations They require a candidate who has 3-5 years BW specific experience and has done a BW 7.0 upgrade with unicode. A mixture of both functional and technical skills is a plus. Basis Administration skills are required. The assignment will be for 4-5 weeks. |
